This was my first time going to this particular Jed's location, and it was pretty good.
The service was perfect, Part time was a awesome bar tender she was very polite and sweet. It just shows that she enjoyed her job.
This Jed's was very clean and had a great staff, the manager/owner was here I forgot his name. He was also very polite and friendly
I had a few beers and like always the freakballs which are hard to resist.
I'll definitely recommend this place and I will be back. -

Working in downtown Toledo this week, and always wanting to support local businesses, I decided to walk to the new Jed's Downtown for lunch. Not knowing if it was a wait-to-be-seated restaurant, I paused at the entrance, until a passing waitress said to help myself to a table. Since I arrived at 11:30am and there were only two tables occupied, I had my pick of the dining room, and selected a high table across from the bar. A few moments later, another waitress came over with a menu, and took my drink order. Recalling that my favourite meal at the now-closed Jed's in Bowling Green was the pulled pork sandwich, I ordered that, plus a side of coleslaw. With a coke to drink, my bill was $11.28 before tax and tip, which felt pretty typical for downtown.
Being a newly opened establishment, the interior was freshly painted in bright colours. Immediately above the long bar was a row of a dozen widescreen televisions, which were all muted and set to three different television stations. The wall above the televisions was festooned with the fancifully illustrated names of Jed's most popular dish, the chicken balls. The front of the restaurant also had an enclosed patio area, which was open at the street and currently occupied by a group of patrons who were obviously having a good time. I also enjoyed the fact that the eatery's sound system was set to a good 80s station, and it was turned up loud enough that no one could hear what my wife calls my tone-deaf singing!
After just 10 minutes my lunch arrived. The pulled pork was every bit as good as I remembered, with a generous portion of tender pork heaped on the bun. The barbeque sauce had a good flavour, and was not so strong as to completely dominate the meal. Unfortunately the coleslaw was pretty disappointing, as I found it watery and weak on flavour. The waitress was so sweet as to be saccharine, but she did an outstanding job of keeping my soda refilled.
PROS: good food, great atmosphere, and attentive staff
CONS: I had no issues or complaints from my visit
Overall I rate Jed's Downtown Barbeque & Brew as being Very Good, and look forward to coming back! -

We wandered into Jed's with admittedly low expectations based on the reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised with the service, the facility, and the food.
Let's start with the most important thing about restaurants, and that's the people who work there. Our bar tender was Stephanie. She was friendly and attentive. Even better, she stopped us from ordering our food, suggesting we wait until the OSU game starts at which point they offer BOGO Fireballs -- their take on chicken chunks. Thanks bar tender who never met us and had no obligation to mention something that wasn't advertised! Damn good customer service.
The BOGO deal is active every Sunday all day or whenever OSU is playing. Jed's just got their NFL Ticket so they don't have much of a built in crowd. Any fan group looking for a downtown meetup should think about that.
The Fireballs are Jed's spin on the Toledo staple colloquially known as "chicken chunks." For a nominal up charge, the vast majority of their offerings can be made Keto friendly by having them grilled. The combos are wild. The Hex balls -- which, upon review just now sound kind of gross -- were in fact the bomb. My husband enjoyed his meal as well.
The bar itself is a mediumish sized shotgun setup and the TVs form a perfect row above the bar. One minor criticism: there is glare from neon signs positioned directly across from the screens. So there might be good seats and bad seats if you're a serious sports fan.
It should be noted that this bar recently opened which means you can expect them to work out some kinks as they get rolling. -

With a fun sports bar atmosphere and familiar sports bar food, Jed's Downtown is a welcome addition to Downtown Toledo's food scene.
They JUST opened this week, so give them a little time to get the kinks out. I popped in for a to-go today, and while the order did not come out correct, they were insanely quick to fix the problem.
This place will be PACKED on game nights and I suspect will do a pretty killer lunch during the week. The space is small, so expect a wait when they are busy. -

Love this place! Great Atmosphere and service is always top notch. Great place to visit before or after a walleye game or event. It's literally right out the back entrance of the Huntington Center. Very convenient and my all time favorite is the freak balls!
